Bilstein shock part numbers
I purchased a set of Bilstein shocks, but when I received them there was nothing indicating that they were sport shocks or that they would work with my H&R sport springs. Does anyone know what the part numbers are for the Bilstein sport shocks so I can verify that I have the right ones? Thanks.

Heavy Duty will be somewhat stiffer and give your car a stiffer and more controlled ride.
Sport shocks are 30% stiffer than Heavy Duty and are usually used with lowering springs for very hard driving and competition.

Shock color
E-Klasse, I finally got my Bilsteins with the correct part numbers, however, I was under the impression that Sport shocks came in the yellow/turquoise color while the HD came in black. Am I wrong? My Sports are all black.

I spoke to a Bilstein representative today, and he confirmed that I have the right parts. He said that the Sport shocks are typically blue/turquoise, but because Bilstein does so much work with Mercedes, its possible that all products for Mercedes are in black. Strange.

Just a bit of trivia: I think my Bilstein Sprints (the Euro equivalent of the US Sport version which has a longer travel for lowered cars and presumably stiffer) is turquoise and black........

Shock Question
E-Klasse,
If I'm reading your post correctly, the HD shocks can be used as replacements for the originals to firm up the ride and handling, but can still be used with the original springs?
I need to replace the original shocks on my diesel, and would like to firm things up a bit.
Cheers,
Ed
