2010 E63 AMG, 2000 E430 Sport, Dodge Charger SRT8
E55 AMG steering wheel/airbag
I am wanting to install an E55 AMG steering wheel on my E430. I have been told that my stock E430 airbag will not work and that I have to use the AMG airbag. Can anyone confirm this?

The older E55 in 99 had a different airbag shape more like an SL airbag but in the 2000+ the airbag looks to be the same shape as the stock multi-function E-Class airbag. It just has the AMG stamped in to it.

Thanks for the info. guys.
My E430 airbag will fit the E55 steering wheel, BUT the cover will not have the AMG letters, correct? The airbag and cover are one unit. In other words, I cannot have my airbag and an AMG cover.

The deal I had going on an E55 AMG steering wheel fell through. It was the wrong color. I am still looking for an E55 AMG steering wheel from a 2000-2002 in ASH (light gray). Anyone know of one, please let me know.
