problem with sunroof?? not really sure

well warm weather is finally hitting Toronto, and turns my car into an oven when its parked at school all day. to remedy that, i open all the windows and tilt sunroof but when i got home and closed them, i noticed that the sunroof no longer comes back down by pulling the little button down. Instead, i have to push the button back, like the position when i'm actually OPENING the sunroof and not tilting it. not only that, but the sunroof now does not sit flush agaisnt the roof of my car, it sits below the roof line as if its an "inverted" tilt.

is this normal? my mom didn't use the sunroof much before she gave the car to me, so i'm not sure if this is a problem. Does the roof actually indent? or should i take it to the dealer to fix?

please help, its annoying since i don't know when the sunroof is flush with the roof when i'm inside pushing the button.

thanks!

You need to resynchronize the sunroof. To do this, open the sunroof as far back as it goes, and continue to hold the switch in the rearward position for 3-4 seconds.

no luck...

well i tried it this morning after i looked at the forum.

i pulled the button back and held it there. The roof moved 4-5 inchees and then stopped. i had to keep pulling the button back and it would move only 4-5 inches each time. is this normal?

and when i finally had it ALL open, i held the button in the "pulled back" position like you said for 5-7sec. and it didn't really help with the "intenting" sunroof at all.

did i do something wrong?

Hmm, thats odd. Okay, try this. Push the tilt button up, and hold it there for a few seconds. What you're trying to do is "tell" the sunroof where the limit of it's travel is.
