E420 Catalytic converters
Hello I have a 1997 E420 AMG I have 4 cats on it (set of 2 cats after the exhaust manifold then 2 O2 sensors and then 2 more cats with nothing but pipe after that) I am wondering if I cut off the last 2 cats and replace them with pipe if I will still pass smog since there is no sensors after those cats?

Cut them off, gut them, and weld them back on you’ll have straight pipes and pass visual inspection. If necessary you can make spacers so the rear O2 sensors see fresh air and do not throw codes
