I have a 2001 E 430 help with mirror cover

My girl pulled my mirror cover off ... I didn’t look broke so I removed the whole mirror unit off and took the cover off . Like I said it nothing appears broken. But I can not get the cover back on . Every video I look at does not say how to align the cover up to get it back on... I want to see if I can get it on with out having to by another

you simply look at the plastic stops inside the cover align them with the mirror assy and shove in hard till you hear the cover catch or click

the GREEN arrow is the spring loaded latch..... which slides up and locks into the RED arrow "ski ramp".....while the BLUE arrow are guides which help position and align the housing a bit more.

the key fixture is the GREEN and RED

there are more photos and tips under, MIRROR, OUTSIDE.....

it may take firm pressure...even like 20# or more as you press the plastic housing up against the rubber weather resistant gasket
