Know this tool?

This is a home made subframe bushing extractor/installer.

This was made in 2015 and sold off a number of times, I know I've tracked the conversations.

I'm looking for it, or any other like it, even a shop version (used) to buy.

Yes I know you can buy one brand new for 800 taxes and shipping in but that's too easy and stupid so if you've got one, let's talk.

Yes that's the only tool available now, this is the one I was speaking of (more like 700 with taxes and shipping in not 800).
I understand why it's expensive because no one needs this tool very much but I'm not paying for something that's outright gouging. 700 is rip off.

No. That's why this w210 subframe tool is impossible to find at a reasonable price.
1) The W210 subframe bushings are unique to the W210
2) They don't make W210 since the early 00's.

I did my front suspension last year, all of it and didn't buy a single Mercedes tool to do any extraction. But, the LCA's were removed and worked on a bench and it was damn impossible getting them out, not fun at all.

Doing that work, under a car with only a few inches variance....I'm not even going to attempt it.

Going with Miller 9111 and Miller 9110.
I had someone confirm for me they fit the W210 and are essentially clones of tools supplied to Mercedes. I bought both tools for under 200 on Ebay.

Good to go.

Nice. I tried to get a hold of the toolsource.com for their Technitool M210-0143 but never heard back. If they work I may buy it too or if you are willing Ill rent yours!

Not the best. The tools were useless for extracting the front mounts and you had to hammer those out by hand. Pressing the new mounts in they performed better. I did get the job done using them though.

hmm okay, theoretically you think i could torch / hammer the front out and use the kit to remove the rear ones and install both front and rear? trying to weigh in if i should spend the ~200 on the miller tools or just save up for the pricey jtc kit…

I didn't try torching, I thought I had read something somewhere about that being problematic but can't remember why. One of the front mounts came out without too much hammering and then the passenger side front mount was a bugger and took a lot of work behind hammering, prying, pulling, bending, lifting etc...

I remember using the car weight at one point to ensure the mounts had gone in all the way.

So I'm not sure what I can use these Miller tools for in my life time but 200 bucks and some sweat was about the price I was willing to pay vs the extreme cost of the actual tool (if you can find it).
