Need Opinions - W210 97 E420 Value
First time posting but I was hoping the community could offer their opinions on the value of a 1997 E420. The car is immaculate with the interior being a 10/10 and the exterior being 8/10. The car currently has 130,000 miles and the price listed is $2,900. I've always liked the w210's especially with the 5 spoke wheels. I am interested in buying the car to drive for a few months to bring back some memories of my teen years when my mom had a brand new 97 W210. However, I would be interested in trying to sell it on an auction site like CarsandBids or Bringatrailer since the W210 isn't exactly a collectors car. But I think those sites appeal to people like me because they feature vehicles that aren't always rare or collectibles but may catch someone's attention based on an individual's affection for certain, random vehicles.

I would suggest you have a pre-purchase inspection done by someone who is very knowledgeable about the W210 and I would ask about what service records will the car come with to try to determine what maintenance has been done and what hasn't been done. Anyone can slap a coat of wax on to make a car show well but it's important to get under the surface to make a good determination as to the car's real overall condition. I can't really see going to all of the trouble to buy a car only to keep it a few months. Such a short ownership period does cast doubt on a car on sites such as Cars and Bids and BAT. I've watched bidders on those sites raising these same issues that I'm pointing out now. Just my 2 cents.

Price is good but all depends on the service history and if you keep it just for you months re-sale really doesn't matter. Someone may see less or more value in that car.
