Glutton for Punishment: Considering a second MB (Part 2)

Part 1 was in the W211 section. Decided against those.

In 2018 I purchased my neighbors C230K for my daughter to drive as her first car. I too have loved driving it around and we have not had to many issues with it. The front SAM going out was a bit of a PITA. So now, I am looking at two W210 possibilities for my car and would like to see if anyone had any thoughts on which one I should consider. Options are:

2000 E320 132,000 miles
Currently on one of those small road side dealers (they purchased it from auction).
Carfax Report: 1 owner and serviced at the same place since 2005. Called the service place and they verified they did service the car for quite a while.
Only issue I can see is that it does not go into tiptronic/manual shift mode.

1999 E320 133,000 miles
Currently owned by the son of the original owner (family owned car since day 1)
Was a California car until 2017. Now in Virginia
Carfax comes back to verify everything current owner stated.
New: Serpentine belt, belt tensioner, water pump, KYB shocks, PCV Breather hoses, VCG, trans mount, rotors and pads, crank positioning sensor, brake switch, headliner, cabin filter, various bulb (performed by owner screen shots of purchases)

If I read correctly, 2000 is the Facelifted version. I see differences in the steering wheel, driving lights, and the painted lowers. Not much else

Based on this information (I know, take it at face value) which one would you lean towards? I have driven the 2000 and will be looking at the 1999 today.

Agree with Plutoe. I have 3 W210 for my kids (2 x 2001 E320 (80K and 90Kish) and 1 2001 E430 (235K)). All run well and are straightforward to work on.

Thanks for the input. I went with my gut after test driving both of them. Although I liked the steering wheel controls on the 2000, the 99 was quieter (exhaust wise), smoother running both mechanically and while at highway speeds, and after meeting the owner it was very obvious that he knew what he was talking about and was was very detailed in his explanations of what was done maintenance wise and the history of the car. What a beauty!. Mine's exactly same color and close to that condition. Hope it works out for you and runs as good as it looks.
