headlamps bi-xenon

Hi guys,

I have an 02 E430 4MATIC and it has the bi-xenon lights. The lenses are complete crap and oxidized. I really dont' want to sand them down n all that. Hoping I can just get new lenses. This guy on eBay has lenses, will they fit OK?? he isn't responding lmao idk he's overseas but they fabricate them in-house, but yeah here is the link, seller is bimmerjakes:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/29413318584...2Cchnl%3Dmkcid

I see new bi-xenons on mercedes website just for the passenger right, but not the driver left (it's discontinued) but it's like crazy prices 470 bux, FCP euro are trying to sell them for $800+ lmao. But yeah anyways if anyone knows what I should do let me know. I would even consier downgrading to halogens if possible due to the prices of xenon but not sure that is possible. And no I am not going to junkyard, they charge too much and they are still OLD.

Try using toothpaste using a tooth brush on your current lenses. Years ago, I watched Sam Memolo on "Two Guys Garage" use this method on a pair of clouded headlight lenses with good success. It certainly won't cost much to try it.

those lenses are for halogen lights not zenon, they are different. Halogen on the left HID on the right.

Toothpaste isn't going to do a damn thing. It's not abrasive enough.

I did the headlights on my E320 with several grits of sandpaper and then a final once over with a DA polisher and polish. They came out looking close to knew. Took a couple of hours.

Strigoi your right, i am just gonna source new ones but also get new lenses to fix the existing ones for a rainy day as backups. i would sand them down but the problem with one of them is there are strange orange flakes inside them so i have to take the lenses off anyways.

I'm not sure what to make of the OP's headlight since I don't think MB had bixenon HIDs for the w210 that year. If you're trying to source replacement OE headlight lens for the 02 there are some MB ones on ebay as take-offs from a parts car or other for a couple hundred $ (total...a la carte purchases).

Hey guys I was able to source headlights from junkyard, $300 for both and they were polished and almost look like new. The only issue is this one headlight has red/orange flakes inside. Do you guys know why this happens? Do you really have to take the lens off to take it out and can it come back again Lol? but yeah it's annoying at least to me and I'm debating on removing them.

You can bake the light, take the lens off and clean the inside.

raymond, thanks for the tip, so what i done is take out the signal bulb and actually it's not enclosed after all, i had this claw thing m jig i bot off china ebay store long time ago. the only mistake i made was not wrapping it with tape initially, if anyone has this same issue u may even want to try double sided 3M tape, there is just one small speckle left, idc about that, looks much better but use the TAPE i did scratch up the interior plastic a little because i'm dumb and it was like playing a video game to eventually pull it out, but yeah it's gone and i'm happy, btw i installed this alpine cde 175bt yesterday too and it works great honestly with stock bose setup if u r looking into upgrading, get one of those, i will probably be upgrading the speakers and getting subs now, gonna be sick and i also got the whole car sanded down, primed, n painted, new fenders too (no more rust), i will post final pics in spring once monoblocks r on and it's detailed with a ceramic coat
