‘95 E320 trunk CD player
My ‘95 Cabriolet loads all six CD’s but message on each CD on the radio screen says: NO CD
This happened to my top load home CD player, q-tip with a touch of alcohol removed scum from that little glass “eye” that reads the CD. Does anybody know of a CD specially made to pop in the player, and clean the reader inside the machine? I prefer her not to take the entire box apart, just wondering if anyone had this problem and how they fixed it maybe it was with a product from Best Buy that will scrub that tiny glass clean. Thanks for any help. Bob

I don't think ithe problem is the laser being dirty. It's happened to me on my 02 E320. I found that making and breaking the digital and power connectors behind the CD player helped. Also you could try another magazine. Sometimes they will stick with age.

The CD changer design is poor and problematic. We're now looking at a mediocre changer design which is fraught with
problems associated with aging silicone shock mounts which become hard and no longer pliable, poor alignment of the
cartridge mechanism etc.
After a decade of putting up with ailments, I tossed it into the garbage about a month ago. For now, I'm just using the
MB euro issued head unit aka Audio 10 which has a single slot CD built in. Over the Winter I plan to install a single
slot DVD flip up into the storage cavity below the current MB radio.

I will give that a try, thank you. It does make the correct “sounds” loading CD’s as my first ‘95 did. And radio reads “load cd 1” then 2, 3. It runs through all six then reads “no CD” I got two cassette tapes today, they sound terrific!
