I have a 2002 E320 4matic wagon with Akebono Ceramic-Euro--and Zimmerman coated rotors on my fronts. My pads and rotors on the rear, Semi metallic-Padget, were like new and didn't replace them. Since the car uses the fronts much harder. When they wear down I will replace the rears with Akebono. Enjoying less dust on the fronts, the car breaks fine with the Akebono-Ceramic. 143,500 on the Benz Wagon

3 older MB's (2000 C230K, 2001 E430, 2003 E320) with Akebono pads, and my 2014 F150 also uses Akebono. F150 has fully coated Centrix rotors, the MB's have UV coated Brembo's but I have never heard anything bad about Zimmerman - many love them. For daily driver setups, your choice would be good - Akebono are super low dust and last a long time but don't expect track like braking (and thus wear).
