throttle body w210 1999e320
so i had the mb specialist throw in a new throttle body NEW in Box, MB logo Bosch logo and part numbers
and the car still stalling / stalled...so i had it towed to them ---they said well guess what ... that brand new $1900 throttle body part was/is defective and will be getting a new one in next week.
im curious in your opinion... what are the chances a nib oem bosch mb throttle body would be bad or defective??
my gut says very very low chance
what say you

i asked a question, thought that was pretty clear I will copy/paste it again it is pretty succinctly stated
im curious in peoples' opinions...
what are the chances a nib oem bosch mb throttle body would be bad or defective??
my gut says very very low chance.
50/50 chance, 75/25 chance? 0 chance?
theres really not much chat, discussion, chiming in on threads that goes on in here
just one guy always wondering why ppl are posting asking questions
maybe it is just bc it is 25 year old car and not many ppl around with them still?

so now after having the car sent back to the mb specialist
like a month later now
i get call stating that the prob/issue wasnt even the throttle body
"it was more complicated than that he said"
that was it. i didnt think a brand new throttle body would be defective. should i ask them to put back the old throttle body and return that new one? im inclined to keep it in there now plus they prolly dont have the old one
but as a business owner myself ...i think i would ask or see if maybe the customer would be ok splitting the difference? or what? what would you do?
now this is not specific to mb, but here we have this happening to / with a mb e320 where they charged me 1600 new throttle body replace...and it ended up not being the issue. should i be on the hook for that ?
he said they repaired the other thing it ended up being....but here i am feeling that ....so .... wait, we didn't need a $1600 throttle body
so what would be the right way to handle or approach this to him?
what would you guys do
