I'm having an issue with my A/C. It is automatically switching from the center two vents to the defroster vents at the windshield after approximately 10 minutes. It will go back to the center vents only after the car has been shut off for a period of time. Not sure why this is happening????

does this happen with all ac settings or just as you describe

just as described. it will blow out of the 4 front vents then after 10 minute just the 2 center vents close and it blows out of the defrost windshield vents.

something is telling the respective flaps to open and or close and the only thing that controls that is the ac controller or you manually direct cold air elsewhere by pushing a button
