tinting recommendations for vic
vic , earlier many posts ago, you describe the recommended tinting.
did u say that 25 percent in the side passenger windows and 20 percent inthe rear window. am planning to tint for the summer.

how does one recommend a tint level? it is all a matter of personal preference as to what colour/type (black/reflective) and degree (35% etc) you think looks good. the only area i can see objective rec's being made is to the brand of tint.

I have 35% "Charcoal" by SolarGard on my E430. Cost me $195 for sides and back, guaranteed for life of car. Done by company that has been in biz for over 25 years here. They do the cars for local Benz dealer. 35% is legal here in highly-regulated, everything is illegal Tennessee.

Would love to have a set of the 5-spoke "CL" type AMG wheels, but it is my understanding that it takes about $300 worth of spacers and custom bolts to make them fit W210.

Calipers
Yep, painted them myself using German caliper paint. Color is "Speed Yellow." Wanted something different than red. I think yellow looks good with silver. Stock brakes for now. People either love 'em or hate 'em.

i have a white benz, i dont know what color on the brakes would be good though. dont think red will be nice.

I painted the calipers on my 98 E430 twice. Once silver and once black. I may paint my E55 calipers blue because Silver and Black would not really stand out and because the E55 window tint is blue.

I am not sure if I am the "Vic" in question but I tinted my E55 with 30% on all the side windows and the rear is at 20% since more light tends to enter the rear window.

it was you that i had remembered about the tinting. i remebered that u had car pic and somone commented how the tinting looked so good.
so anyway i was thinking tinting for the summer and since we both live in la, i figured what you had tinted would be legal so that i do my car , itwould be okay.
reason is i got pulled over by cops in my earlier car , integra. thnx
