W210 220 CDi

Hello, I'm new here and own a w124 1986, s250 which I am restoring and just purchased a w210 220 CDi, which has a few issues and I would welcome some suggestions from experienced members, regarding the electric fan that is on constantly. I understand that it may be down to a faulty A/C sensor ?
Much appreciated in advance and looking forward to my membership,
