SRS Dashlight and the Dealer...
My Youcanic scanner said the front passenger side airbag squib's voltage was too high or some such thing... I didn't want to mess with disconnecting the airbag to clean the terminal, so I took it to the MB dealership for diagnosis. They pulled the same error code, reset the light and looked at the components that they could get to without any real digging or dismantling of the door panel (which is probably they didn't inspect anything).
Verdict: they can't figure out what's wrong. They kept the car a week while I was out of town and said the light remained off.
They wrote the error light off as "these things happen to these W210s" and if it goes off again, the only other option is to start replacing wiring harnesses and start taking apart everything to see if there's a fault.
$296 fee. Light is still off, one day later.
I wonder why my Youcanic scanner's reset of the light didn't work.
It's a shame that my passenger side airbag may not work if this light reappears. That's bothersome. And I keep thinking that spending $5k (my guess) to have the dealer sleuth and replace associated parts is still cheaper than buying another car/truck. Plus the condition of my W210 is still incredibly solid and rust-free at 80k miles -- I couldn't possibly find another equivalent vehicle for under $15k (low miles, rust free, bullet proof engine/trans, safety record, AWD, driving dynamics, etc...).
Just thinking out loud... not necessarily looking for answers or directions -- unless you know the issue with the SRS light and can share it. : )

It could be the SRS sensor in your seat is broken. This is a common problem in W210 passenger seats. I think the only solution is to replace the seat sensor which is inside the upholstery.

I examined the seat sensor and wiring harnesses already. Complete seat out and dismantling/examination of sensor. Put it all back together and the light came on next day.
