I want to install a Bi-Led projector on the factory headlight.
But the issue is that it's a fresnel lens (bottom picture)
I need to know if the fresnel part is separate (removable) or if I must buy a clear lens (top picture)
I don't know...having never retrofitted an w210 HID. My opinion is to forego any further use of the OE lens as you're already trying to use an aftermarket projector which, in itself, is a separate design and in theory, precalibrated based on the projector glass lens as well as the projector bowl's reflector. The OE plastic outer lens is calibrated based on the OE reflector based, D2R design (not projector).
All the effort you are putting into the retrofit may result in disappointment in performance once you place the OE outer lens . However, if you have the patience to bench test this first without having to seat the OE plastic lens into the butyl sealant, heating it up, and then testing it .... may avoid any potential disappointment in performance.
Again, my opinion, as I've not done the mod you're about to begin.
