Wanted: Baby 'Smart' Seat f/E320S

I have a client that is in need of a NEW or Near-New MBZ (OEM) Baby 'Smart' Seat. I'm told the part number is on national back order and I can't find any dealers that have one still in stock. Essentially, what the client wants is a baby seat that disables the front airbag. If you know of another brand that is of quality that would be great, too.
The MBZ part number is: BQ691 0156 and it's the seat for babies under 20 lbs.

mercedes child seats are made by britax (a very reputable english company). they make seats for volvo and porsche too. you may want to go through them. the mbz seat is going through a design change (to include the latch option) so the new seats won't be avail until sept 2002.

Thank you for the information. I'm afraid by the time I find a suitable seat the kid will be applying for Harvard. I'll check into Britax and if I come up with anything of interest I'll post it on MBW. ...RAB

Are you looking for the baby seat ( 5- 20 lbs) or the toddler seat (20- 40lbs)?
The toddler seat is on back order here but I got main from Germany. I have a mb babysmart seat that I dont use anymore.
