E320 CDI Starting Issue/Lock Issue
Hello members,
I have a weird problem with my 2000 E320 CDI and dont know where to start looking for a fix. Two days ago I went to my car and tried to unlock it. It did not do anything unlike the day before. Then I tried the physical Key and when opening the door the alarm went off. Now trying to start the car it would not unlock the EIS and turn to position one. After replacing my key battery and my car battery it still wont open. However after wiggeling and moving the key in and out of the EIS it will unlock sometimes after 10-20min of trying and then it will start sometimes. Myself I would say its a bad connection in the EIS system. But that doesnt explain the key not unlocking doors or locking them while central locking inside of the car works with the button.
Does anyone have a pointer or knows what issue is because I am quite stuck with where to look.
