One touch moonroof?

window onetouch down/up not working???
I changed my battery after it crapped out on me. After installation of the new battery, i cant activate the onetouch down/up for the window. And the moonroof is acting wierd, it stops just about every 4 inches even with my finger holding on to the switch.
Any ideas on what to do before I go to the stealer?

Try resynching both the windows and the roof. Do this by fully closing then holding the switch in the close position for about 30 seconds.

I thought you accomplished synch by doing the same thing when you changed the batts. in the remote.Placing in ign. etc.??

press each window switch up (first position, not one touch second click) and hold for 3 seconds..
press the sunroof button in the up position and hold for 3 seconds.. this should resync it.

procedures above, I was successful in resynching (new word) the windows -

but I'm not quite clear on how to do the sunroof. What is the Up position, flip up? I tried that with no success...
actually I don't even remember what is one-touch on the sunroof.
Will it close and open with a single touch?

Depends on the year of the MB.. the older ones didnt have express open/close sunroof at all, some of the newer ones had express open only.. then the latest models have express open and close. Just depends where you fit in.
With resyncing the sunroof, you need to hold the switch by pressing it in the foreward close position (hold for 3 seconds) this should resync it, if not try holding in pop up position for 3 seconds.

It's working now
Thanks to all that repied. It turns out that all it needs is time. I was going to try to do all the suggestions here, when I tried the windows for the last time before doing all the suggestions, it already works fine.

The real trick in executing the RESET operation outlined in the manual as well as what is explained in this forum is to not press the power window button too much. You can perhaps follow this procedure below. Open it enough (may be in several small increments) to provide 6 or 7 inches for the window to move up. We never do this when AUTO is functioning well, but by pressing it slightly (not all the way down) you can get the window to move up smoothly in a continuous motion. Continue the same touch and hold it till the window has completely closed and for about 10 seconds or so beyond that. That will RESET it as intended. Pressing the button hard, all the way down does not seem to do the RESET. Also, any amount of instructions may not be sufficient. Just play with it a little bit and you will get the hang of it.
