CD Changer fail
Can you advise with your expertise.

Installed a replacement cd changer into the boot. Mind you, this is the third replacement as the previous all failed to operate..as far away as Canada!
Locally sourced and so far, operation OK. Lights up, recognised on the head unit, CD's loaded (right way up), magazine ejects and loads but...after a scan is completed..."magazine empty".
The magazine is certainly loaded, inserted correctly (proved by the scan) but fails to play.
A singular CD inserted into the head unit certainly works and plays.
Would welcome from the host of expertise out there any info or guidance you may cane to offer.

I installed a Denison Gateway Lite D2B back in June of 2016. USB drive currently has six folders with 99 songs each. More folders can be added to expand; I just got tired of selecting and copying music files. Just tap into the fiber optic behind the radio and mount the USB unit on the right side of the transmission tunnel in the cargo netting. My only complaint on my particular unit is it radiates severe electromagnetic interference at 930 KHz in the AM band, right on top of one of my favorite talk radio stations. Other stations not affected so long as they do not fall into the 910 to 950 KHz AM band. Occasionally does not want to advance or retreat to the next song, just power on/off the radio and it resets. Just select "CD" on the radio and the USB drive is now selected in place of the trunk-mounted CD changer.
Hope this gives you some ideas.
EDIT: Denison install instruction attached to give you and idea of what is involved.

excellent and informative advice, Im onto it and will research when I can grab a compatible device as the Denison.
Makes sense your ploy...shame that the OEM kit has to get bypassed 'cus the sound quality from the MB system is superb!
My brother and I willl certainly investigate, many thanks for your kind response.
