Spark plug wire length

Hello, I ordered new set of wires and plugs, they are ngk brand. I have the 2001 e320. I have never replaced wires on this particular car. The wire set sent to me has 12 wires all the exact same length, but what I have seen online is that there should be different lengths. Which is correct?

The M113 V8 uses multiple lengths and part numbers.

Here are the part numbers for an E320 after model year '00.

Verify that matches the engine that is in your car.

Is it the M112 engine?

Parts diagram shows two different part #'s for the wire.

- 1121500218 x 4
- 1121500118 x 8

Yeah, I have the 3.2-liter V6 engine M112 engine, meaning that ngk sent cables they said were for my car, and confirmed it when I wrote to them about his issue, yet they are not the correct ones since they are all the same length!

Correct. You have the V6 which requires 12 spark plugs and cables.
The wires you ordered can work. The catch is you now have longer wires dangling in the engine bay.

Thanks, but if I used these cables, would longer cables be the only issue? Would there be wrong voltages, etc. Not as good performance? If the only issue is longer cables, I can handle that.

Measure the resistance in the wires comparing old to new. So long as the resistance is close, should be no problem. Without an internet search I would hazard an estimate of ~1.2Kohms resistance would be in the ballpark.
If you get numbers way off from the above, perform an internet search as there are several different "flavors" of wires with varying resistance.
I have used in multiple engines wires of vastly differing lengths (shortest 6" and longest 2') with no issue. Just be sure you tie up the extra length cables so they do not rest on the exhaust manifolds.
