Will these work ?

Will these work on my 97 E320 ? Don't know about the 8.5" width. Anyone have these? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=43958

That is a typical aftermarket size and offset. It will work but the rear fender alignment won't be too nice.

Thanks Whitey,

What offset and rim width works best in an 18" rim?

Not sure if this will help at all but there is no strict rule as to what works best....just what will fit or not. It also depends on what you're looking for - agressive look + better handling, economical+OK handling etc and the type of wheel you're after - each particular style of wheel has limited sizes and offsets but that could be fixed with spacers, within a certain range.

The standard AMG setup is FR 8" ET31, RR 9" ET35 but there is a range that would fit our cars. Those 8.5" rims will work but the rears would need to be spaced out 5-10mm (i.e. ET30-25) for it to look decent/"normal" and that's not even to the extent of being aggressive.

If you want a staggered setup (wider rears), then if there is a wider size for that wheel I would get them instead. Based on the AMG, a 9" would need at least ET35 (I have 9.5" ET35 and that's almost reaching the limits with fender alignment/clearance with lowering).

Hope this helps.

Thanks Whitey that does help. I dont want the car to be overly aggressive but I would like for it to look somewhat tuff. Is there no way to do this on a 210 other than staggering the wheel setup? I guess the only reason I have been anti staggering is because of tire rotation reasons.

I will probably endup lowering the car but only a little, probably go eibach and and bilstein rather than HR's .. I want to maintain some of the cushion of the ride.

Using a 10mm spacer on the same Et35 8.5" rears will give you a "staggered look", that's why I'd suggested it. 5mm would pretty much align front and rears (visually).

Whilst the sizes stack up, I'm not sure if the guy will have the right bolts for you....best to check. BTW I think this is rather ambiguous...

The wheels are manufactured in a original equipment plant.

O.E.M. Specifications / Ebay titanium seller

Does OE plant = AMG...I think not

OEM Specifications? The real version of those wheels were never available in this spec....

Buyer beware.......

yeah I'm with you on that one... I'm not interested in those wheels persay. I think I'll buy something I'm a little more sure of. I like your idea of wheel spacers though... Are they very expensive?

H&R spacers are relatively expensive but I would pay a little more for such a critical (safety related) part......

Thanks for the comps....mine's nowhere near as nice (and crazy) as some of the other guys here.....but I truly believe the wheels have a very big impact on the appearance (and handling)....take your time to hunt and choose the right one (kinda like a spouse I guess ) good luck!

I'm running 19" 8.5" 235/35Fr , 9.5" 265/30Rr.
