Car vibrating at stop lights?
my mechanic has been nagging me to replace my motor mounts since i bought my '97 420. i finally did it yesterday, and wow, what a difference. the car was never uncomfortable, but it would really hum at stop lights - a light vibration, but you could feel it and hear it. every car i've ever been in has done that, especially my old 300D. now, it's like the engine is turned off - and dead quiet too. if you're car is 100K+ you should look into this replacement.

we had to get the engine mounts in our '00 E320 replaced at only 53k miles(violent, audible vibration at a stop), but could be because a 90 degree V6 is naturally unbalanced, producing more vibration and wearing the engine mounts faster than the smooth DOHC V8 in your car...

Got my mounts changed when my car was a tad below 100Km...BIG difference like what galleryvw said...the fact that you could feel the difference before and after shows that it is a proven fact!
Problem is why Mercedes had to develop a mount that doesn't last that long..:/ They Probably do the same for most of the parts so they can whack the user after sales.. :P
