Anyone having the Command Unit shut down?

I have had my Command Unit shut off four times. The dealer claims they can not reproduce and that there are no faults.
Has anyone else had this occur?
Also, does anyone know if it would show up as a fault or not?

I am so tired of MBZs customer service. I am getting to where I hate the car!

I think there is no problem with Command Unit . That might be kind of audio cateway problem (AGW). You can ask your dealer to change your AGW

Ditto with the gateway. My whole unit was replaced, after restarts and the GPS telling me i was in the pacific ocean repeatedly. This is a known problem, the old gateway overheats.

I'm really worried about it, because the Nav was added on after the sale (by the dealer). also, i had CD changer problems and they replaced it as well. I am just scared that the electrical bugs have got a hold of my ELECTRONICALLY controlled car!!

It could be the dealer didn't program the AGW to version code the nav when they install it. This would trigger enough errors and cause shutdown.

If they didn't program the AGw then they probably didn't version code the MFD either. Do you get navigation directions on your instrument cluster display?

Nice question actually. Oddly enough it did not when they first installed it, but they got it to show up on the dash after a few tries. Would that mean that I am up to date with it all?
