This is incorrect. The manual states that the oil capacity of the E320 CDI (US Version) is 6.87 US quarts. See the "Technical Data" chapter, "Fuels, Coolants, Lubricants, etc" section. My '05 CDI currently reads 6.1 quarts at c. 5,000 mi. It has used about .3 quarts in the past 3800 miles.

If the car is not telling you to add oil, I certainly would not add oil! MB repeatedly cautions you to avoid overfilling, and warns that doing so will cause engine damage which will not be covered under the warranty.

Best Diesel oil is Mobil1 Truck and SUV 5w40 (its Delvac 5w40 but with a yellow top and sells for cheap @ Walmart)

if you do not want to use that one, use reg Mobil1 0w40

if you think the oil is low since you do not have a dip stick, take it into MB and ask.

This is correct. The proper oil capacity of the CDI is 6.8 quarts and I verified it thorough the SDS under actual values.
