clip[s in glove box
I was told the clip rings in glove box were for sunglasses, but the cut out recesses for the clips look like it would be for a large ink pen or a special tool.

Earlier links had photos of these. The round clips near the top when opened are for a small Mag Lite and the smaller round clips in the middle can hold a small ball point pen. You can put a smal post-it type of note pad under the hold down clips next to the pen. This was for the initial 2003 W-211's and not sure if it's the same in the newer models.
