I'm pretty sure you can get a wheel like that from Mercedes and retrofit it on most current MBs.

Expensive though, from what I recall - $1500 ?

Those 2 wooden inserts set you back a $1000 or so. Beautiful, but certainly not worth it in my opinion. C'mon there are better ways to spend a grand.

Not for me. This is the steering wheel I want on the E55. Its from the SL55 and has manual change on the steering wheel.

the price for this option on the W210...

is $730. it appears to be the same wheel with a chrome insert.

The SL stearing is cool but maybe that same stearing with birdseye maple on it would look amazing on the E55 AMG

Sorry bro.. you aint gettin it... :p

All models keep the same wheel ... AMG or not.
It hasnt been announced if the E55 will be available with the shifters on the wheels just like the SL55 though. I hope it is...

I am hoping the E55 will have a less bulky, more sporty wheel with manual change on the basis that the SL55 has such a wheel in comparison with the SL500.
