Fss

I did a search first to try to find my answer but have not yet seen what I was looking for so now the question:

I have a "D" coming up in another 2500K mi.

I know that the car can be taken in under the warranty when the actual mileage is WITHIN a certain amount of the DUE mileage. Does anyone know what that number actually is without a doubt and can you provide a link to a reference?

The MB scheduling people in Sacramento have told me two different things...
in two different phone calls.

1. I can take it in within 1500 miles of the due mileage OR if it has been more than 1 year from the last FSS service.

2. I can take it in within 1000 miles of the due mileage...period....TIME after the last FSS service does NOT factor in.

I was just told yesterday that on FSS Plus that we have since '03 models, time is not a factor. My prior 2 with FSS had the calendar option after a year, but not now. I think you can bring it in 1000 after the alert, of course some dealers will acommodate you better than that.

I'm talking about PRIOR to the alert.

Prior to the alert should be no problem, they reset the Fss at that time.

Did you mean to say prior to the alert AND within 1000 miles?

My SA has told me whatever comes first...10k miles or a year from the last service or if the FSS says so. Forget about the appointment people, ask your service advisor.

Your seem to be correct, in 3 call to the scheduling people in Sacramento I recieved 2 different answers.

Asked service advisor on policy and he stated within 1000 miles of FSS due mileage OR if it has been more than 1 year since last FSS service.

It's amazing that the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.
