Addind DVD Navigation

I have located a new E500 that I am interested in. It does not have the navigation, but I am thinking of adding it. A few questions:

1. What is the price comparison on the dealer add-on vs. the after-market EU version that can play video DVD?

2. I want to connect an MP3 player through the aux input (glovebox?). Is that part of the factory stereo or part of the navigation?

Nothing MB related (sorry)

Depending on MY and where you are located, you can add a navigation drive to an existing comand unit. The nav.drive gets installed in the trunk, behind the trunkliner.

MP3 doesn't have to be connected to the AUX. Most 2004/5+ US spec comands have MP3 capability; all Euro spec W211 comands have MP3 capability. It is also possible to install an MP3 CD player in a W211...

BTW, the Euro comands that play DVD are NOT aftermarket units, but original MB units...
