The manual rear-side sun screens are no longer mentioned in the 2006 print literature or the web site.

Although the power rear screen is available, have the side ones been "decontented"?

I believe the side sun screens, drive dynamic seats and seat cooling are no longer available. I have all of them on my 06 E350 and will miss them since I'm going to sell.

Rear side windows sun screens are available as a dealer option.

Active ventilated seats are now part of the premium package and are no longer a la carte option. Drive Dynamic Seats are only available on E55.

I was told that the Premium Package has the heated seats but not the air cooling.

they came as part of the Premium package on my 04 E-320. I never thought I'd use the shades or the seat cooling, boy was I wrong. I'm beginning the powers at MB aren't paying attention.

I realize that the decontenting is an economic issue (how many they sell vs the cost), but those are sweet options. I guess the resale value of my car just went up.

Go check MBUSA.com. My Netstar print out for my E500W4 clearly shows that it has active ventilated seats with the 626 premium package with panorama sunroof.

'06 E350 I just got for my mom (June) has all of that... Sunshades, Drive Dynamic, etc... did they drop it for all current production '06?? odd.. very odd..

They dropped the Drive Dynamic Seats as of June production. Now, only 55 can get it.

It's not decontenting. Quite the contrary. They have simplified and rearranged the packages, most likely due to requests by dealers and customers.
