Jaguar X-type 3.0 AWD rental

Jaguar X-type 3.0 AWD rental
So I took my car in for an alignment chk before the 1yr anniversary was up & almost was not offered a rental as they said it's a <2hr job and they could easily have the car ready for me by the end of the day & pick me up from the office. I wasn't going to do that as I have work & client's to take care of.
The service advisor gave in and gave me a rental & I thought I was going to get the C class (C230K or C240) that I reserved at the in house Enterprise. Got there and they said they'd given out my car...but that they had a X-type available. I had no choice and was in this car that was about 1-2yr old (2003/2004 model) w/ 26k miles. Car drives ok... didn't know Jaguar had AWD models, so coming from Audi (quattro)... I'd be seeing how sensitive the car was compared to the quattro. Didn't really feel much from the AWD, except a heavier steering wheel. The 3.0 was surprising decently powered, although the engine runs pretty hot.
Anyhow, I wanted a fresh C230K to putt around in and this was the 2nd time I didn't get to do that. Oh well.
Well, driving the Jaguar with the Ford-ish interior makes me appreciate my 500 so much more.

I got to my dealer just as the last C230 left, and got stuck with a C240... kinda boring.. but if they stuck me in a Ford, I would have complained... Jag grill not withstanding..
