steering wheel installation

I just bought a used wood steering wheel and was wondering if anyone has installation instructions or tips.

The tip I would give you is to not let the wood wheel sit in the sun. I had a rent car in Denver with a wood and leather steering wheel a couple of weeks ago. The car sat in the sun most of the day and when I got in at 5pm, I burned my hand on the "wood" part of the wheel.

When parked in direct sunlight, the wood gets VERY hot. I use a windshield sunscreen.

I attempted it but could not remove a small connector ; took it to the dealer and they only charged $75 to swap the shifting buttons and install the wheel. definitely worth the piece of mind....
