I can now play MP3's! Yippeee...
A few weeks ago I got a letter from MB-Australia stating that my car needs to be brought in for a 'Quality and Software Upgrade'...in other words.."RECALL!!". Anyway, I picked it up from the dealer today and asked him in a cynical tone whether I could play MP3's yet. He said he didn't know. Well, I got in my car and thought to try it out anyway. I inserted an MP3 CD-R into the DVD slot and it worked!! I'm so happy 
Time to burn that DVD with a 'few' songs on it hehehehe....
BTW, the CDC still can't play MP3's but I never expected them to be able to anyways

I'm assuming you also need to have a COMAND HU for it to work though?
