I have an '05 E500 flint gray, appearance pkg, sunshade pkg, nav, HK sound, in dash changer, and drive dynamic seats with 12000 miles. The car was obtained brand new on nov of 2004. My lease is 48 months at 1184/month. my payoff is $63,000. I was wondering if anyone has had any luck on leasetrader.com? I tried trading it in for a LX470, (I need a large SUV) but the payments are way too high. Thanks for the imput.

I tried it before for a VW Passat, and ended up giving the lease over to my friend who now makes the payments but the lease remains in my name as well as his now.

If $63,000 is your pay off, your upside down on the car... Hate to say it, but even if you put 0 down, you over paid for that lease by about $10,000, so it's going to be VERY hard to get rid of the car without a major loss.

What was the "residual" on the car after the 48 mo? and what was your down payment? Or did you trade in a car that they paid off?

WOW, $1,184.00 for 48 months? thats alomst 57 grand. thats almost the amount I purchased my car for. same model, same pacakages, bought same month and year. Actually, my purchase price was around 56800, with tax license and the cost of the extended warranty i paid $64,000. only 7 grand more than what you are going to pay on your lease, and i own my car. not to mention that you paid an acquistion fee and your residual. ouch

Dude you got miserably ripped off. I have a 320 which is cheaper but I only pay like $500/mo (39mo). That was with 5K down. BUT, at the time they offered me the 500 for $783/mo for (39MO) with 5K down. And since I already have a fast vehicle and didn't see enough of a diff between the two I stuck with the 320. I doubt you'll ever trade that deal.

I can't believe a reputable MB dealer would put you into a lease that bad... I used to sell cars, and we used to put little rich girls into the Mazda Miata when it first came out for leases like that.. but I've never seen this kind of thing from a brand like MB.. you should almost file a complain with the BBB or MBUSA directly. I could have gotten you into an E55 for that kind of money.

i've used swapalease and got rid of a car. its still a pain bc if the person taking the payments over miss a payment, it affects your credit history.
