i just want to know that does the Silvered bulb lit brighter or longer distance than the original one? Does the MB original Xeron light make any difference with the Silvered bulb light in the light color? Are they both in white color?
Thank you!
Bon
The city (parking) lights may be a little more blue when lit than the PIAA extreme white ones and not quite as bright. I think they will be close enough to the headlights - at least a lot better than the yellow looking lights that came with the car. My big complaint was the dark blue looking bulb when it wasn't lit.
The SilverStar 1157 turn signal bulbs are as bright as the original amber bulbs. If you look up the turn signal bulbs for the W211, many manufacturers indicate the 1156 bulb is the correct bulb. The 1156 is the turn signal bulb for the W210 not the W211.

Page 337 & 338 describe the replacement of the "standing lamp" bulb. After removing the socket, I just wiggled the bulb back and forth and it pulled out of the socket.

It sounds like you unplugged the socket of the parking lights leaving the socket and the bulb in the light. The socket rotates about 45 degrees to unhook it and then pulls back. The rotation is counter-clockwise when viewed from the back of the light. The bulb is so small that it can't stay in the light by itself. The silvered bulbs are called "blue" and aren't nearly as bright as the PIAA hyper-white bulbs but show up nearly as blue-white as the PIAA bulbs. The clear OEM bulbs are what look good in the daytime but show up as pale yellow when lit.
