Sanity check before I "seal the deal"

I've been looking for about 2 months now and believe that I have found what I am looking for. However, I think I am getting a case of pre-purchase depression and wanted to sanity check my findings with the board before I make the purchase.

I have found a new '05 E500 w/ Appearance pkg, Sunroof pkg, Heating pkg, and CD Changer for $53k (after quite a bit of bartering). MSRP is $62,850. Seems like a great deal but I just wanted to throw it out there in case I might be missing somehting.

Does that seem reasonable to everyone or should I pull the ripcord and bail out? Thanks!

Sounds like a very fair price to me too, certainly a lot better than the "deal", quote-unquote, that I got on my E500 two years ago. And, thanks for referring to your purchase decision as "seal the deal" instead of (ick) "pull the trigger."

Ditto on this being a good deal. If this had been available to me 2 years ago I probably would have opted for the E500 instead of the E320.

Thanks all! I just put the deposit down and am planning on driving out of state tomorrow to pick it up. If all goes as planned it will be sitting pretty in my driveway by tomorrow afternoon...

Whichever one is available (1 of 5)
Take it!!! My 2004 E500 was MSRP $62,000. At the end of August of 2004, there were only two 2004 E500 models in the dealer lot. I was only able to get the price down to $55K. Following week, I went to the dealer to pick up my accessories, the other 2004 E500 was sold, only 2005 E500 at the lot.

Sounds like a good deal to me. I bought my 2005 E500 in 11/04, it has pretty much the same packages you mentioned, but I also have the Harmon Kardon entertainment package as well as the comand/navigation. I paid 56K. Don't worry you're sane. Go ahead and make the purchase, I could'nt be more happy with my E500. I did lots of research and shopping prior to my purchase as well.
