The in line 6 cylinder engine in the US CDI is too long to work with the 4Matic mechanicals.
The earliest we can hope to see a 4Matic CDI in the USA looks to be when the new V6 diesel is rolled out for US cars, which won't be until we get ultra low sulfur fuel next year (hopefully). In the meantime, folks like me in the snow belt can only dream!
