use the 245/35/19 with the 275/30/19. it keeps the rolling diameter almost similar to the original. otherwise you'll start effecting the way your transmission, speedometer,and braking will work.

You might want to post in the Tire Forum but I asked this question before and was told to go with I had 19x8.5 w/245/35/19 front and 19x9.5 w/285/30/19 rear. The guy who suggested this setup told me some said 285's in the rear were too wide but he rode on them just fine.

Don't use 285. I run 245/35 fronts and 275/30 rears..it's the recommended spec for 19" wheels. I don't like the way 285 rears look on the w211..looks awkward.

I ended up with the 245/35/19 and 275/30/19. I got the Michellin pilot II and love them. I was worried about ride quality. The new setup rides MUCH smoother and quieter then my 18" AMG setup with Nitto tires
