Command has a mind of its own!!

Picked up a new E320CDI a couple of weeks ago. It's the first time I have had command. I have pre-set my favourite radio station and turned off TA (traffic announcements). Twice when I have turned on the ignition, it has tuned in to a different radio station and TA has switched back on!! Almost as if it is re-setting iteself to default.

Is it me? or has it got a bug?

It should come on in the same mode as you shut it off.. if it was in WX, it will come on in WX.. etc...

Does the car have keyless go? If it does, it has been my experience that using key # 1 to unlock the doors is one set of memories, unlocking the door with key # 1 in the pocket & just opening the door using keyless go squeeze on the handle is a 2nd set of memories, remote open with key # 3 is a third set of memories, and open with squeeze with remote 2 in your pocket is a 4th set of memories.

If both "keys" are present, (you & your wife both approach the car & squeeze), a no-no, the car can get confused too...

Thanks for the reply. But I don't have 'keyless go'

Does it apply to standard smart keys as well? Since they do remember the seat positions individually.

If "Make Key Dependent" is selected YES in Setup on dash display the memories are different.

I have had a similar thing happen with the single CD in and turning the car on during very hot weather. It hasn't bothered me too much so I am unwilling to "fix" it for now.
