Sport Package non AMG stuff!
The W211 Sport Package will not mimic the AMG E55. The US Sport package will look like this:

That front spoiler is not really that "sporty"! The just added two pieces to the lower front corners of the front spoiler. Also, notice the slight flare to the side valance rear. It is bearly noticible.

The regular E320 front spoiler looks more 'sporty' than the sport package.

I picked up brouchure # MC-02-456 from dealer yesterday and this is the type of wheel pictured for the E320 non sport.
Note: The silver vertical slats on the grill. What type of grill is this?

I was browsing the MB world-wide site and came across this picture. They don't call it a Sport package, they call it the AMG Styling package. I don't care what they call it, but this is what should come to the U.S. Plus, this package has 18" wheels, the U.S. is only getting 17's. And non-sport package E320's are getting 16" wheels.

The E320 grill and the E500 grill are different. The 500 has more hroizontal slits and I think is painted black on the background and the 320 is 1 less slit and silver painted. The verticle cross bars show because of the angle, the C has those also...

in the mini brochure, both the E500 (on cover) and the E320 (silver "new attitude") both with sport packages, seem to have 5 slits. i have no idea why some have 4 and some have 5. strange! here are some pics of E320 with 4 and 5 slits. maybe it has something to do with the elegance and avantgarde packages?

James, you are bang on the spot, Elegance outfit has 4 slits and Avantgarde has 5. Apart from that the grilles are identical.
Vertical slits are seen on that car because of the angle, all models have them.

they will not offer the amg style body style because they don't want it to be confused the the E55AMG. this is the same for the C32AMG. the us c320 sport package is not the same as the euro one.
if you were a E55AMG owner i bet you don't want regular E's to looks like an AMG right? if you want that styling, you better pony up the extra cash.

For what they charge for the Sport package on the E, it should at least include the AMG bumbers/side skirts.......just leave off the AMG wheels.

Beltfed, how do you explain the C-Class Sport with no resemblance to the C32 and the pics we have posted of the W211 Sport Package? The W211 will have no AMG parts on the Sport Package. There may not be any difference for the W220/W215 & R230 but the W211 and W203 are absent AMG stuff.

Yeah Beltfed, you are absolutely correct. It is a shame that the Sport Package will not consist of any AMG stuff like the CL/SL/S models.

The Cclass I can understand, because they never really had AMG equipment as part of the Sport package (I think it may have had an AMG wheel at some point though, correct me if I'm wrong). That stuff was basically exclusive to the C36,C43, C32.
