Disegno & E500 4matic
The thread on Cubanite Silver has me thinking about colors. Does anyone know, is MB planning on bringing back the saddle leather interior? If not, does anyone know about Disegno editions and the future E500 4Matic? I tried to get my 2000 E430 4matic as a Disegno with flat black (i.e. not Obsidian) and the brown interior, but I was thoroughly denied, even when I inquired about European delivery. So, I'm stuck with the java on my W210 and I hate it. I'm planning on a 2005 E500 4matic (I want to wait until they're 1 year into building the 4Matics in the W211) and I'm already thinking about the interior color. I think way in advance...

On the new E class range Java and Quartz have both been replaced by Pebble Beige,code 835,which is in the middle of both colours.
I agree,I find that Java is a little too yellow in some light so it is worth checking out the new Pebble Beige color.
What color was Saddle?
It may be very similiar.

Wow, that's a beautiful interior you posted. Saddle was a bit lighter than that: imagine adding honey to that color. I will search for a saddle picture (my boyfriend has a 1994 E420 black/saddle, but we have no digital camera...).
In 2000, as I said, I had wanted that Disegno color combo you posted (I can't remember what they call it, but the pic you posted is the interior I dreamed of) in my E430 4matic, but even the boys in Graz (where they build the 4matics) said "nein" to a Disegno 4matic and so I wound up with obsidian/java.
Gosh, I really hope something like this will be available by time I'm ready to replace my current ride...

For the record, Code 835 is called Stone in the US market. At present Netstar doesn't show any designo color options for the '03 E-Class. ...RAB

Wow, is that an ugly color combo!
The dark grey and brown clash badly, and the wood is an entirely different shade which clashes with the other two.
Each in itself is fine, but the combo is a virtual eye-storm of bad colors.
