Bought car just to protect Benz from winter salt, etc.

Yesterday I picked up a Mercedes Preservation Unit.

Its a 1988 Mercury Grand Marquis wagon (yes, woodgrain).

It has 4 brand new tires (rear tires are Bridgestones, winter tires WITH STUDS!!!)

Brand new battery.

Brand new exhaust.

84,000 acutal, original miles.

Original leather, perfect.

5.0 Multi-port efi (genuine fuel injection not throttle body). Runs PERFECT!

NO body damage, not even a ding.

All power windows and door locks work perfectly.

2.73:1 final gear with deep overdrive = 24 MPG highway.

4,800 lbs. of DETROIT STEEL: Go ahead, crash into me, who needs a stinkin airbag when your rolling on 2.5 tons of union labor baby!!!!

My precious Benz stays home in the heated garage the 5-10 days of poor weather we get per year. Snow = I drive the Brady Bunch Mobile!!!

Pictures coming soon....she's real purdy!!!

Sale price $300 !!! That's right $300

I LOVE THIS COUNTRY!!! Might even come in handy for home-improvement, lawn and garden supply gopher, and last but not least....BRINGING HOME THE CHRISTMAS TREE!!!!!

Sweet deal dude... but you have to admit the first time you pull up at the stop light next to that HOT BABE with the convertible beatle looking over at you and smiling --- while she thinks --- "what a chump in that grandpa special" you're gonna kick your self for being so good to your Benz! :p

Nice way to avoid your MB from salts, acid rains, etc.
But don't let the 4800 lbs of steel fool you, it will buckle like a horse upon impact and turn into a 4800 lb compactor. Remember it's still a Ford.
