No prewire Sirius on '06? MBenzNL to the rescue!
I had ordered my 2006 E350 with Sirius. But when the car came to port... it was not prewired. The Dealer said my model '06 could not be factory integrated with Sirius Sat. So I got in touch with Steve and Wanda and was able to have this installed during his eastcoast trip last week. I got a free 12month subscription from Sirius instead of the 6 from the dealer as well. Moral of the story is, if the dealer "can't" do it, STEVE CAN! excellent and professional work! thanks again.

Hey good luck with that. But actually dealers should be offering 1 year not 6 months. I know MBUSA advertises 6 months but I just discussed this with Michael Moore, VP SIRIUS Customer Care. If anyone is told 6 months he needs to know so SIRIUS can visit the dealer to update and train. MMoore@siriusradio.com

i have a friend that might be interested in this. he has his sirius radio equipment from an '05 CLK500 that the dealer bought back because it was a lemon. he just bought a '06 E500 that didn't come factory installed with sirius. even though there is a SAT button in the command console, the dealer said that you can't just hook up his old sirius equipment to the E500 and have it start working.
so my question is, what can mbenznl do that makes the sirius equipment work for the e500?

hehe - we actually do quite a few 06 SAT radio installs at the moment...for several californian dealerships...sometimes I like the decissions MBUSA makes

The best thing to happen for Steve is MBUSA's nickel and dime management..
But the good news is... I think my car is better off having those options added on by Steve, than had the factory done them! :p
