Retrofit internal motion sensors
I read IMS retrofit in W203 forum.
Is it possible retrofit imternal motion sensors in my W211,05,sunroof, without teleaid.
Let me know the parts needed and prices.
I plan to retrofit when Steve comes......

I always wondered why MBUSA doesn’t include this. If and when installed please do not forget to post cost and if you obtained an additional insurance discount after installation.

pretty much everything is retrofitteable...the IMS on the W211 is easier to retrofit then on the W203...less easy then on the R171 though...
Jeon, send me ONE list with other retrofits you might consider and as soon as I get home later this week I will send you the prices for those and you can make up your mind on what else you want to have done besides that what has been shipped already.
Due to the travelling and work I have not been able to reply any mails lately.

I dare say that there aren't that many people that can say this with much credibility, you being one Steve.

Maybe. But 3,4,5,6 is not confirmed. In, Korea there is limitation to get option
when I buy a new car---need 3-6month more,more expensive...
E500 is good but oil prices are very high in Korea---200K is economical and good.
But when I order second mercedes I will have all I wanted if it takes long and expensive...

I am not sure how much the sensor on the 211 costs but if Steve is getting it for you, make sure you give your VIN to him so he can get the correct color code of the sensor. You will have to cut the head liner, drop it a bit to run the 3 pin cable, and version coding in the REAR sam and maybe Central Gatway is required.

no cutting eh? That's good news. Should have checked WIS.
Anti-tow protection alone with door protection is the alarm system. IMS is a added feature to the alarm system and yes, both can be installed together for added security.
