I think I'm going to Lexus after this car. I've had just too many problems with MB service and I can't take it anymore. I'm having a hard time with the trade-off between having the 3 point star on the hood and really crappy service. That's not an exchange, it's a rip off. I especially feel sorry for those of you with these $90K and up S-Classes. How do you deal with this crappy service knowing you paid that much for the car? Sure you like it (the car), but is it really worth it? Plus, with all the problems the 2001 up models seem to be having, I just can't justify spending money on one.

Nevada Jack: rjm posted a pre face-lift LS430 which I'll admit... it looks like a pig.
However, the face-lifted LS430 (2004+) looks a lot better with some subtle changes to the headlight housing and the bumper. I'm sure there is a little more but those are the things that really stand out to me.



But hey, both the S-Class (Excluding V12 and AMG) and the LS430 are great cars, infact we have one of each. As I and many others have said before, competition is already a great thing!

The only picture of a Lexus that I have posted to this forum is my 2005 LS-430. Is that what you are referring to?

i agree. in my other posts i have stated how my local dealership has gone from great to crap. To sum up just one of my experiences of retardation, my service rep stated that I removed my e320 emblem and put e500. I told him it was an e500 and then after the checked my car in the computer, he said, oh yeah, it is an e500. Come on, I may be a young guy but don't say bad words when speaking with me. I thought MB was a place of class and elogance. After i burn this car to the ground, I may jump ****. We'll just see how the new E will look when redone. Lexus is turning the heat up as far as competition though I will agree.

But it just hit me, they are the same car and it indeed is a 2005 (2004+) car with the new headlights. I could've sworn the car looked different.
Must be the tension of exams on my head or something...

Japanese are the best in mass-producing electronics in the world. They could easily surpass what German has done if they think necessary. Acura TL is a $33k car, how could you expect it to have those toys that are not must-have in a vehicle. Plus, putting lots of stuff into a car is good, but you better make them reliable, otherwise not only they are no fun to have, they are burdens and troubles.

With all due respect Ricky...the S (mine) still looks better than the "copied" LS that rjm treasures.

Thank goodness I don't have to do that comparison crap anymore. SAT's are done and no more standardized tests until after college.
