attention light and vehicle slows
twice now, when going on a downhill slope (like a freeway on ramp, nothing major) my car's triangler ! light will pop up and the car will slow itself down for like 2 seconds. The gas pedal won't work, only the brake will. Is this something I should be concerned with or is this a part of the car's safety mechanism? Thanks.

The problem is your date of birth
1978 almost 1979....
Think you need to get an E55, at a minimum, to match your driving ambition and traction requirement.
The E in general is tuned for the 50+ crowd.

Actually, I was going about 40mph so I don't know about driving ambition but an e55 would definitely be nice.
