I was gonna go with Steve, but his price of $2500 is quite steep. When the time comes that I want to get the HID's I will contact him again. I hope the price on those will be good.

 

And, how diffucult was the install? Any need to program?

 

just bought it, havent installed it. As far as I know its plug in and go.

 

Let us know if it was truely Plug & Play or if it turns out to be "Plug & Pray"...

BTW, how does this guy have so many of them? And how does he say they fit the '08s? ...and no exchanges, no bad reviews, and no complaints? I hope it all works out, but I remain suspicious.

 

There was a thread about this guy before, and a lot of guys decided to steer away from him.. sounded like a scammer.. but he's got no bad writeups as of late..

This guy has so many units, I have always wondered where they all come from as well. I have seen so many false statements on alot of his auctions over time. I am very skeptical of this guy too.

Yea, he has a few of them, but look at his reviews. All high end car parts, mostly Euro. Looks like he is some kind of importer.

 

You might end up getting a Japanese COMAND which is of no use in the US.

The last comand we got from him had a bad drive in it and he would not refund or exchange the units.

 

can you give some more details on the sale? He seems to have really good feedback? did you leave feedback?

$1000 for a euro comand? Sounds too good to be true. I sure hope things work out for you. Give us a review after you have it installed.

 

I'd be VERY leery of so low a price, especially since the listing basically tells you that once they have your money you are on your own and should basically f*ck off.
Remember, if something seems too good to be true it likely is......

 

I now, but he has sold other untils and has recieved good feedback on them.

 

.............actually, that price is not uncommon. There is another guy MBDOCTOR.COM who sells for that price and sometimes lower. Here is the LINK . The advantages are that you have on-line odering and if you are able to send them back your original head unit, you can sometimes negotiate for an even better price over the phone. I purchased my Euro Comand from him and it works perfectly. The problem lies in knowing how to instal it and some programming with star diagnosis maybe neccessary even when those things were working previous to the comand installation.

it says in the ebay listing it dosent come with the navigation

 

Your navigation drive is a separate unit that is located in your trunk. If you vehicle came with the navigation system installed, you don't need to swap it out when you swap your COMAND with the Euro one.

 

Bought a comand from this guy...He does NOT have a Shop....Took Several tries to catch this guy...He wanted to meet in a Parking lot in Irvine...His Shop is the Trunk of his Lexus... WANTED CASH! Oh Yeah The Comand didnt work...

Ok called the guy, I asked for him, he was like why do you wanna talk to him? I was like I bought something from him on ebay. he was like why do you need to talk to him, I explained I bought something from him. He then hung up.

I called back and he let the machine pick up. It said his name on the machine.
some other guy then picked up and denyed anything about Ebay. I was like OMG, are you serious?

I sent a nice email to ebay and sent them a link to this page for them to see he ripped off others on here. To think I almost got ripped! :p
