How to turn off dome light?
I have a different Mercedes, not a W211. However, someone with a 2003 E320 asks me how to turn off the FRONT dome light (ring of light around the dome). They misplaced their owner's manual.
A few months ago, I did something to dim it and something to turn the rear one off.
Every time I see them, I have about 5 seconds to fix the problem so I don't have the opportunity to fiddle with the controls.
Anyone remember how to turn off the front dome light near the rear view mirror? Guess: is it controlled, at least in part, by the intensity of the dashboard lights?

'08 AM Vantage V8 - '03 E500
The front "ambient" light is controlled through a setting on the multifunction display, using the steering wheel buttons. See page 145 of the European manual linked above. The rear "ambient" light is directly contolled by buttons on the light pod itself.
