Interior photos
I took some new photos, literally a ton of them, and I post the most successful/interesting to see ones.
So here is a traditional shot with an opened driver's door. The car is an Elegance edition with Anthracite leather and standard wood.

Front lighting unit during the night. Sorry about the quality, but when taking nightshots with no flash it takes ages and the camera is pretty heavy, so blurred a bit.

Thanks for the pics of the rear side roller shades. I have a 3 year old son that constantly falls asleep in the back so I figured this is a good option to keep the sun out of his eyes.

Great pictures. The night photo looks like the ****pit of a Boeing 747!! I can't wait for delivery.
Question: You say the photo is the Elegance with standard leather? Is that the Brown Burr Walnut or the Brown Ash?
Are there any other choices in the wood trim available?
I will post this as a separate topic so answer here or there.Thanks.

Callaway, yes, it's a burr walnut trim, which is standard on Elegance cars. I like it a lot, in cars we had before it was too dark brown, chocolate brown - really boring look, but this has a lot of red tint to it and looks great.
Unofortunately leather isn't standard in Europe. Maybe it is on E 500, not sure, but on lesser engined models it isn't.
Thanks everyone for the comments, I'll post later today some good exterior shots I took yesterday.

Thanks
Thanks for taking the time to do this. These are more realistic and show what people want to see and not what they want us to see i.e. brochure. I love that night shot of the dash/console.

Jamesp, yes I like the car as much as on the first day. My excitement with the first Mercedes I've driven doesn't pass away. I've driven briefly SLK 230K and previous CL 500 before, but there was no time at all to appreciate them.
Now, after driving the car for 3 months by now, my mood and thoughts went like a pendulum from being very sceptical about Mercedes to being its' enthusiast.
I had this idea for months by now, that it is a bit of a waste of money buying any other car than Mercedes. Do you know what I mean? Mercedes is so much that almost any other car fades in comparison. It's not to do with just the styling, comfort, engine, etc, it's about the car as a whole package - it's excellent, with the whole being more than the sum of its' parts, partly due to a simply subjective feeling of seeing that star in front of you, knowing a century old history/heritage of Mercedes Benz, all the great cars before this one, etc, if you know what I mean. I think everyone should own a Mercedes once in their lifetime.
The car is my father's, he bought and owns it, I just wash it, take pictures and drive it Which is fine by me. I've put the major part of the miles on it btw.
Jack, anyone who did a bit of photography would know that it does take a bit of time I washed the car beforehand and I've enjoyed taking the photographs at different locations, even though it is really hot outside these days. I tried to take the pictures of what I thought would be of an interest to me if I didn't see the car ever before.
NANA, the camera is Sony DSC-F707, it's new and I'm still getting used to it. Taking nightshots without a flash is reeeally difficult without a tripod, I have to get one of those. That's why the nightshots are blurred, it's impossible to hold the camera steady for several seconds in a row while it's recording the image. I chose the best pics and I've deleted like 80% of the photos I took because they were just even worse.
